Rebecca is an amazing nurse! She knows how to keep her cool even when situations are tough. At times it seems that she has tough assignments, but she always shows compassion for not only her patients and their families. An example of her compassion is when she had a patient expire. The family was in shock and denial. She listened to the family and showed them that she cared for them. In addition, the rest of her assignment did not feel that she was not caring for them. She is an amazing nurse and I am honored to work with her.
Rebecca's dedication to her patients is evident in her choice for her Evidence-Based Project. Rebecca chose to focus on oral care for the hospitalized patient and developed an education module for her colleagues on the importance of good oral care for patients and shared how this most basic aspect of nursing interventions can lead to better and healthier outcomes for our patients and fewer complications. She currently presents this module to her new colleagues who are just starting out in the Fellowship Program.
Rebecca comes to work with a smile and willingness to help all those around her with no questions asked. It is a pleasure to work with Rebecca and we know her compassion shines through the care she gives to her patients and their families.
