Becca goes above and beyond for all her patients. She always has a smile on her face. I am nominating her for the care she gave to a COVID-19 positive patient who is suffering from depression. The patient was admitted here to our hospital while her husband is at an outside facility. The patient was told her husband was most likely going to die from COVID-19 and care would be withdrawn. As a result, the patient became depressed, refusing all interventions, and become agitated. Despite this patient becoming hostile, Becca continued to advocate for her and called to make sure someone was obtaining a Laurelwood (Behavior Health) consult. Laurelwood could not come into the room to see the patient as she was COVID-19 positive. The patient refused to talk to them on the phone. However, Becca went out of her way to get an iPad and help Laurelwood do a telemedicine visit with the patient. They do not typically perform this service, however, thanks to Becca it was done, and the patient was able to be evaluated.
