I am writing to you today to share my experience as a family member of a patient. T was my father and he recently passed away. I would like to start off complementing the ICU nurse, Becky. She not only took care of my father but took care of my family. Thinking back, it is amazing that she comforted us but never gave us false hope. She made sure we understood my father was very ill. An ICU nurse takes a special person and I can see how difficult it would be to deal with on a daily basis. It's important to my family that she go home with a smile on her face not thinking a how sick her patient is but how she is helping a family through a difficult time and helping them achieve acceptance. Becky should be proud.
