Rebecca Randolph, RN, CPN
Rebecca has been a nurse in our Cardiology clinic for many years. She is quiet, hardworking and exceptionally patient when navigating complex coordination issues involving patients’ medical needs and care planning. Nothing exemplifies this more than a recent situation involving an infant who needed specialized surgical repair out of state. His surgical planning was upended by our current pandemic, complicating matters further for out-of-state travel. Rebecca spent four months diligently pursuing our hoped-for outcome – successful travel and approval for his critical surgery. She spent countless hours coordinating the procedure between Children’s Hospital and Stanford University. The approval/coordination process through his insurance company was daunting and complicated, involving additional hours on the phone and multiple barriers that had to be overcome. She assumed this responsibility with grace and patience and kept his family updated on her progress. I’m happy to report the patient’s surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I am incredibly grateful to work with such a dedicated and hardworking woman!
