Rebecca and Emily went above and beyond to support one of the patients in the ED. A pt who recently came to this country delivered her baby at home 7 days ago. She was frightened - (and only spoke Spanish) but needed to bring her baby to the hospital. She had almost nothing for the newborn including a crib, but for the second time the nurses - as crazy busy as they are- dropped everything to help this mother by providing tee shirts, diapers, baby blankets, etc., and even helped link up with a bassinette through social work! The look on the patient's face was priceless!!! I told her the hospital was giving her a baby shower!!

The first time your nurses helped was for a very young mother involved in a terrible abusive relationship and a police officer came into the ER to ask for diapers and formula because the mother and baby had to leave with only the clothes on their backs. I called up to your nurses and they dropped everything and made a care package for her baby. The mom cried in my arms with thanks!!!! Your nurses are what makes me proud to work at Temple. Please thank them for their kindness and devotion to helping both mothers in desperate need!!
