November 2015 Honoree
rebecca serra, RN
Things were getting a little hairy in pre-op when Becky came over from Phase II to save the day! She came on her own initiative, started an IV for me, and brought another patient in from the waiting room. Sometimes we all forget that just doing a few things is so helpful to a co-worker, and to help without being asked is GOLDEN.
Becky has shown true commitment to colleagues by helping PACU when things are slow in other areas. She goes above and beyond for patients, as demonstrated by her pre-op teaching project when patients are most receptive to learning. She is showing leadership qualities by orienting to charge and assuming more responsibilities. She has taken on being the Co-Chair for the Clinical Practice Council. She is engaged, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

Thank you, Rebecca, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
