I would like to tell you about my experience with the nursing staff that attended to my needs during my stay. Every nurse was excellent. Each was attentive, nice, and pleasant. Words cannot express my appreciation. I did, however, want to elevate one nurse who, in my mind, was just outstanding. She offered her help to me as soon as I was up in the morning. She gave me my meds, on time at 9am as prescribed, changed towels in the bathroom, brought new washcloths, and checked on my toiletries. While I sat in my chair, she changed my bedding, prepared a fresh gown for me, checked my tables, picked up all the used items, and brought me fresh water and cups. All the nurses completed similar tasks, but this nurse was different. Her attitude was positive, and her skills were exceptional. She seemed to really enjoy her work. She took interest in me as a patient. She talked to me and was interested in my issues. She wanted to help me in any way that she could. For example, I had questions about my meds, and she not only wrote it down, but also assured me that she would come back with answers. And she did. In another example, after she was done with her work in my room, she told me that she would check in on me every hour, should I need anything. Once again, she did as she said. Every hour she came in, asked how I was doing, brought fresh water, checked around my room and did her nursing duty as needed. And all of this with a smile on her face and with genuine interest. I was amazed. It was clear to me that she enjoyed her work. This is absolutely her calling. She is a sincere and compassionate nurse. She is a pleasant and caring person. She made my day today. As a patient, this meant a lot to me. She is a top-notch nurse and deserves to be recognized for her outstanding work.
