I've had the pleasure of knowing Rebecca Steckroth for about nine months now and every day she amazes me with her selflessness and devotion to her career. She pushes herself past her limits every day to provide the best quality care for patients and never settles for just ordinary. She is an extraordinary NICU nurse and each critical neonate that she takes care of makes an impact on her life. I've seen her deploy life-saving measures for infants who weigh less than a paperweight and I've also shared the unfortunate sorrow when one couldn't be saved. Despite all that, Rebecca arrives daily as a shining example of a nurse that I would like to become one day and will continue to do my best to follow in her footsteps.
