Rebecca, from Ambulatory Care and Kathleen from the Pain Clinic were the winners of the September 2015 DAISY Award. An oncologist needed to begin chemotheraphy for a patient in ICU at the Hackley campus, at a time when no chemotherapy-certified nurses were available onsite to give the medication. Rebecca and Kathleen were called at home and asked to come in. Without hesitation, both came in to give the patient the needed chemotherapy medication. Both nurses stepped up during a time in need, putting the patient first, providing excellent patient care.
