My husband was admitted to the ICU for what ended up being 2 internal bleeds. By the time we arrived at the ED, he had lost 2/3 of his blood, they said. He ended up needing 29 units of blood products to survive. I have never been so terrified. Rebecca was our first day shift nurse, after my husband made it through a terrifying night. She rocked it. Luckily, my husband was her only patient that day because he ran her ragged. She did not leave his room for more than 10 minutes. She was so compassionate with my husband. He was intubated and so irritated, but she was patient and comforting her entire shift. She helped save my husband's life. Thank you, Rebecca.
