One day in August the situation in ICU was that there was only 1 ICU RN scheduled for the night shift. This meant we would have to transfer two of the ICU patients to a different hospital. Rather than make the patients go through that, Jan agreed to stay late on her shift, and Rebecka agreed to come in early for her shift the next day. To cover the short night shift. They both ended up doing 18 hour shifts so that the patients wouldn't have the inconvenience of being moved to another facility.

This was above and beyond the care of our patients. These nurses are wonderful assets to our team!
