Rebekah was my nurse when I delivered my first baby back in June. I don’t remember if she knew this but my dad was also in the hospital at the same time. The first baby is an exciting time, and it was mixed with a dozen other emotions. I still think about Rebekah to this day and how she has a peaceful presence and her calm and kind words and attitude towards me. While I was thinking about my dad and my family, she kept me focused and in the moment, one that I will never forget.

My dad passed away a few days later, and thank you to the nurses/staff on the other units for coordinating so that my dad could come up and meet his first grandchild. I know he appreciated that.

Rebekah, I want you to know that I appreciate you. Your kindness doesn’t go unnoticed. I’m a nurse, so I understand that the job comes with some tough shifts, but I hope you remember on those days that you have made a lasting impact on the patients you take care of and that you are such a blessing to your patients!
