Their tireless, devoted, and skilled passion for our Dad's well-being made a huge impression on our family.
I would like to thank my Father's nurses Rebekah and Benjamin Stamets from the ICU unit. My 80-year-old Father was a patient in the ICU unit for two days. Dad was on a roller coaster ride for the last few weeks. Everything that was happening was new and frightening to us as we watched him struggle to live. Through it all Rebekah and Benjamin were there, working diligently, helping us understand the issues and the next steps that needed to be taken. They both patiently explained things to us, sometimes more than once, until we understood what was going to happen. Of utmost importance to them was Dad's comfort. They were also concerned about each of us as we went through our own emotional and exhausting roller coaster rides. They both obviously cared deeply for Dad. On both days their knowledge and skill were evident. Their tireless, devoted, and skilled passion for our Dad's well-being made a huge impression on our family. They stood out as nurses willing and able to go beyond the normal call of duty. Thank you for your dedication, work, and your patience. I'm proud and honored that you were on my Dad's care team at the end of his life. I'm so grateful for your compassion and kindness. You are both amazing examples of SJRMC's core values. We will never be able to thank you enough for all your care and compassion during this difficult time.
