My daughter was in for a quick outpatient dental procedure. The surgical floor was clearly busy based on the number of people in the waiting room and in the unit. Rebekah made sure to take time to answer any questions/concerns we had and never made us feel as if she didn't have the time. She was kind and caring but the biggest surprise was that instead of talking to me about my daughter she included her in the conversation, asked her questions, answered the questions my daughter had, and made her feel comfortable. My daughter is only 6 and has had many procedures done at Cook Children's and I'm always appreciative when the staff talks to her not just about her to me because she's the patient and being comfortable with the staff makes her less nervous and anxious.
