July 2016 Honoree
reema alhasawi, BSN, RN
I would like to thank the nurse, Reema Alhasawi because she helped me and saved my life without getting me injured.
I had a car accident and I was injured and fainted at the scene. She saw the accident happen, stopped and examined my condition. She tried to pull me out of the car and checked if I had fractures, injuries or bleeding. She used my shirt as a bandage for my injured thigh and calmed me down until the ambulance came and she went with us to the hospital. She supervised my case, called my wife, and stayed by my side until she arrived. I stayed for a long time in the waiting lounge since there were no beds but she talked to the doctor to let me in the observation room as soon as possible and did not leave my side until she made sure I was in good condition.
She put her life in danger as she stopped in the middle of the highway which could've caused her to be in an accident, under the extreme heat and the sun to save my life and help an injured person whom she doesn't know.
She handled great responsibility which required a strong personality to make the decision of saving a person's life. She is protectiveof her patients like a cat with her children.
