My husband was in the IMU at Anderson for 5 days. It was his first time being a hospital patient. During that time Regan Fred took care of him on the 7 pm to 7 am shift. All beds were full, but Regan made my husband feel as though he was her only patient. She provided his treatments and answered his and our many questions without delay with patience, a high level of knowledge and a positive attitude. She always checked on his comfort, his many IV lines and oxygen. I remember one evening especially, when leaving to go home that she said to call any time for an update. It happened that he was having a difficult night and I wanted to be with him. She said absolutely and she would make all the necessary arrangements. Not only did she do that, but a made bed, coffee and a snack was already set up when I arrived. Regan exemplified excellence and compassionate care for my husband and also understands family is integral to that care.
