The RN-patient connection was immediate, and she was incredibly personal in her care. She matched my grandfather's humor and kept things light for him and for all of us, which was exactly what we needed in a stressful situation.
My 96-year-old grandfather was in the hospital for surgery after breaking his hip. Nobody wants a hospital stay, especially at his age. Reghan was phenomenal. She was calm and confident in her clinical decision-making and also incredibly compassionate. The RN-patient connection was immediate, and she was incredibly personal in her care. She matched my grandfather's humor and kept things light for him and for all of us, which was exactly what we needed in a stressful situation. When we were waiting for a clearance from internal medicine that may have held up surgery, she was on top of it, coordinating care and going out of her way to keep us informed every step of the way. As a family member who is also an RN, I felt so relieved knowing that she was going to be his nurse again when I couldn't be there. I felt confident that she would anticipate needs, would advocate for him and my grandmother, and would treat him like royalty while still setting clear expectations for him to be invested in his own recovery. At the end of her first day with us, which was when I was present at the bedside, my grandfather asked for a hug and said, "There aren't many nurses like you." As an RN I who specializes in improving the patient experience I completely agree. She is an absolute gem and deserves every bit of positive feedback and recognition she gets for the incredible work that she does every day.
