July 2026 Honoree
Regina Brown, RN
Throughout my 13-day stay at Orlando Health, Regina Brown was my Nurse.
Regina Brown represented the ORMC ICU nursing profession with distinction. Her experience, professionalism and knowledge during my stay provided a calming influence on me and my family during scary and uncertain times. I felt safe, informed and comforted by her professionalism, personality and ability to talk medical terminology to my family in laymen's terms and answer questions. She was believable, comforting, and professional.
During my stay an emergency developed in the ICU. Regina Brown took control of, summoned support, calmed me and assured her until the emergency was successfully resolved.
In another situation, my personal belongings, including my walker, were transferred from 7N716 to 5B57 after my surgery. Regina noticed my situation and after waiting for delivery most of the day, she took the initiative to go to the 7N716 Nurses station where she found my belongings, stickers on it, took the cane, brought it to my room, tracked down and returned it to me. Again, throughout my stay, Regina went out of her way to provide comfort, professionalism and a personal touch, which was impressive and appreciated.
I have had a professional career myself. Regina Brown's performance and professionalism impressed me and service culture. ORMC.
She showed attention to detail and went above and beyond the call of duty. I commended her for that.
