Gina pushed for a scan before moving her to the 5th floor. Thank God they did because my daughter had a pulmonary embolism.
Gina saved my daughter's life. My daughter was at the hospital for meningitis. She was on the 4th floor, and the doctors wanted to discharge her. One night Gina came in for her shift and thought something was off with my daughter. She thoroughly read the notes and even went to the nurse resource to consult about the information in the notes. At some point, a decision was made to move my daughter to the 5th floor so her heart could be monitored. Gina pushed for a scan before moving her to the 5th floor. Thank God they did because my daughter had a pulmonary embolism. My husband and I are forever grateful to Gina for advocating for her. We know what could have happened had they not screened for a blood clot.
