From the moment I was referred to the gastric bypass treatment program, my nurse became the guiding force behind my journey. She carefully coordinated every step of the process, working closely with the cardiology, gastroenterology, psychology, anesthesia, and nutrition clinics after receiving approval from my consultant physician. What could have been an overwhelming and complicated experience became much smoother because of her dedication and organization.
She streamlined my appointments, reducing the burden of multiple visits and long waiting times. Throughout the preparation period, she remained in constant contact with me, eagerly following up on my progress and ensuring that I stayed on track for surgery.
More than just coordinating care, she took the time to explain each step of the process in a way that was clear and easy to understand. She guided me on what was expected of me at home and helped me navigate my clinic visits with confidence. Whenever I had questions or concerns, she was there to provide reassurance and support.
