Ren N Crosby, RN

Ren recently joined the 5STU team and immediately went to work making an impact. She is highly focused on patient experience and creating relationships with her patients. Recently, she cared for a young patient undergoing post-operative care for a new cancer diagnosis. The patient had shared with her that he had a goal to dunk a basketball by his 40th birthday. This patient ended up staying with us during his birthday, and our unit planned a small celebration. Ren took the time out to provide decorations for this patient, including an over-the-door basketball hoop, so he could fulfill his goal of dunking the ball. Ren went above and beyond providing medical care to this patient to recognize his needs that were not part of the treatment plan. I know that it made the patient’s day and inspired the rest of the team.
