Renae Snyder has provided above and beyond care throughout her time in the program. I thought it best to share comments from those that have been touched by Renae’s acts of kindness.

Renae’s Family Nurse Practitioner preceptor shared an experience that she had with a patient. The preceptor had spent a long time talking with her patient about the patient's concerns, helping the patient problem-solve the next steps in the plan of care, and discussing relational issues that were contributing to the patient's health concerns. The preceptor really thought she was connecting with her patient. And then, at the conclusion of the visit, the patient asked if the "other Nurse Practitioner" was working today. The preceptor felt a little confused because there were no other NPs in this practice. The patient responded, "You know, the one I saw the last time I was here. The one who prayed with me." The patient was referring to Renae Snyder, our FNP student. Renae understood that underneath all of the diagnoses and social concerns, it was truly the patient’s spirit in need of care.

Additionally, a medical assistant that this student worked with at clinical, chased down the faculty advisor to present them with this note: “Renae is always so helpful. She is ready to help with patients, whatever is needed, she will do it with a smile. She is kind, gentle, sincere, and always so genuine. I will miss her.”

From the moment Renae entered Malone University she has demonstrated above-and-beyond care to her patients, her colleagues, her peers, and even her faculty. She will be an amazing Family Nurse Practitioner and will provide exceptional care to those within her community.
