renee dejong, RN, BSN

I have worked with Renee DeJong since she came to Home Health in 2000. Renee initially worked as a field nurse seeing clients in Cedar, Muscatine and Johnson County.Renee is an integral part of the Emerson Point Assisted Living Facility. Emerson Point is currently the only affordable ALF in Iowa.
Renee was there on the ground floor of the project, developing policies and procedures with the team.Renee creates an environment of trust, compassion and mutual respect.She is ethical, encouraging, and staff feel like they have a leader that is true to her beliefs.She is motivating and not only believes in Mercy's Mission, Vision, and Goals but lives them in her day to day interaction with the staff, clients and community agencies.
Renee serves as a mentor for all the staff under her direction.She knows, understands, teaches and promotes the policies of Mercy Hospital, Medicare, and TJC.She works hard to make sure all staff understands and follows regulatory standards so integral to Home Care. I can truly say working with Renee every day is a pleasure.Her staff like and respect her.
