I reflected on how much had happened over the past 12 hours and I couldn't believe how incredibly hard Renee worked during that time frame. That was just a normal day in her career but a day of my life that was unforgettable and stressful. She made a very unpleasant situation much more manageable for me and truly never stopped working or advocating for me. I am so thankful that she was my nurse and stood by my side through such a tough experience. I remember commenting on how tired she must be and she told me, "I love my job," which was so evident!
