Renee W. has made a meaningful difference in my father's care after he was resuscitated and transferred to ICU. Renee has also been very supportive of our family members. One specific example was within the critical first hour after intubation: when she was the first one to rouse my dad and get him to follow directions; thereby averting having to subject him to super-cooling therapy. During this time, she also was coordinating with the rapid response team, our family, and the Chaplain. She also provided the family with a snack and/or beverages at 2 AM when we were all very tired and emotionally drained. While our experience with all the nurses at NW McHenry has been exceptional, Renee has gone above and beyond my expectations.
