My husband entered the unit and Rex was very approachable. He never made me feel stupid or a bother. Whenever he provides updates about my husband, he explains it to me in a way I am able to understand. He never disappeared and was always available for questions. When he was my husband's RN, I felt a huge relief. Even on the days he was not our RN, he made it a point to pop in and ask how my husband was doing and showed concern regarding other issues I was dealing with besides my husband being in critical condition. He was so attentive and very thorough. He also made sure I had a comfortable chair to sit on, and even offered food and water, as I was afraid and reluctant to leave my husband's bedside. I never had to look for Rex. He was always there for us. He listened and showed genuine compassion and concern.
