Reyna goes above and beyond to help families have the best experience while in the DNCC, despite the circumstances. Recently, she cared for a family whose baby was passing away. The care that she provided to this family during such a tragic time was extraordinary. Through the development of an exceptional therapeutic relationship, she was able to help the family process various aspects of this difficult time in their baby's life, including helping them to frame how to have a discussion with their two year old about the baby's passing. The family has extended their gratitude for the compassionate and thoughtful care that they received during this difficult time. Despite the tragedy of the outcome, Reyna was able to help make the experience meaningful, memorable (in a positive way) and peaceful for the parents and extended family. She deserves to be recognized for her tremendous efforts of the generosity of her caring spirit.
