I would like to recognize Reyzell Mendoza, RN, for the exceptional compassion, clinical excellence, and professionalism she consistently demonstrates in our CVICU.
Reyzell cares for some of our most critically ill, high-acuity patients, often requiring complex hemodynamic support and continuous titration of high-alert medications, while maintaining a calm, steady presence that reassures both patients and families. She has a remarkable ability to combine exceptional critical thinking with genuine human connection.
Even in highly stressful situations, Reyzell communicates clearly, anticipates patient needs, and ensures every individual is treated with dignity and respect. She takes the time to explain what is happening in a way families can understand, checks in frequently to ease anxiety, and consistently advocates for comfort measures that make a meaningful difference in the patient experience.
Reyzell partners seamlessly with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team. She raises concerns early, offers thoughtful clinical insight, and helps ensure plans of care are carried out safely, consistently, and effectively.
