March 2024 Honoree
Rhonda Brubaker, RN
Rhonda was assigned a very difficult patient. The patient was a veteran and suffered significant injuries during his time in the service. He refused to cooperate to get the care that he needed. Rhonda recognized the need for intervention and called upon the hospital chaplain to come and pay a visit to the patient. The chaplain spent over an hour in the patient's room, and when she came out, she said the patient wished to be baptized. Rhonda and a CNA witnessed the baptism, and the patient instantly became a different person. Rhonda's compassion for her patients was truly evident in her dealing with this particular patient. We are fortunate to have Rhonda on our staff.
Thank you, Rhonda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
