We have a patient that has been on the vent for over a year. Rhonda came up on her day off with patient and canvas board. She made an imprint of the patient’s hand for a card to give to his wife for Valentine’s Day. The patient is nonverbal with a trach, but communicates with his eyes and legs. He was extremely appreciative that she thought of his wife and acted on his behalf.
