Rhonda was nominated by a physician. In a critical situation with the imminent delivery of a just barely viable infant, requiring a stat cesarean section, Rhonda was the Charge Nurse on Labor and Delivery. She very efficiently and calmly in a life-or-death situation (for the infant), mobilized all available Nursing personnel, myself, anesthesia, the OR team, the Neonatologist and NICU team. During an unfathomably stressful situation, she was also able to secure transport for the newly delivered, intubated, viable baby to a tertiary care center with a level 3 NICU. Because of Rhonda's amazing orchestration of multiple teams and dozens of providers, that little boy will have a chance to live. God bless her.
