My son started school this fall and had a huge adjustment period. It has been quite the adventure for us and not without moments of frustration and tears from a very worried Momma who just wanted to help her son be the best she knew he could be. Between the school, his teacher and Developmental Pediatrics trying to find the best solution for him hasn't been an easy task. I called and spoke with Rhonda on numerous occasions. This last time I spoke with her, I talked to her through my tears and the uncertainty. She showed compassion and listened with an open heart and talked with me until the tears subsided and told me that I was great Mom and doing a great job! That is just what I needed to hear and at just the right time. I recently got to meet her face to face and thanked her for helping us and I cried again, this time tears of joy. She hugged me so tight and reassured me that we are the right track and that everything will be ok. The compassionate care she gave to us is an excellent example of how she is an Exceptional Nurse and advocate. She is greatly appreciated.
