December 2021 Honoree
Rhonda Lundquist, RN
The night after I gave birth to my baby girl I started to struggle mentally. I was in tears for hours doubting my ability to be a mother as I am a young first-time mom. I was so upset and did not know what to do. Thankfully, Rhonda was there and was so amazing. She helped comfort me and assured me that I was doing great and that I would continue doing great. It was so clear that during those moments I was Ronda’s number one priority and that she truly cared about me. She then took the time to take my mother and me to a place in the hospital where we could sit quietly, and I could try to relax. She also took my daughter into the nursery that night, even though she was very short-staffed without an aide, and allowed me to get as much sleep as I could. Rhonda made such an impact on me that night with her comfort, compassion, assurance, and help with the baby. She most certainly went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of not only mentally, but physically too. I cannot thank Rhonda enough.
Thank you, Rhonda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
