This instructor will go above and beyond to make sure her students understand a skill and concept. She is respectful and a role model for the nursing students. Students state that she is "compassionate and funny". One particular student said "I can't wait to be a nurse like her!" Rhonda loves to learn. Recently, she obtained her certification in nursing education. If there is something she does not know about a specialty area, she will look it up and/or ask questions. Another student states "She honestly cares about students". When teaching, she uses personal stories about her experiences as examples so that students can grasp the concepts better. Rhonda has a servant's heart. She exemplifies team work and cooperation. If there is a need among faculty members and she is able to assist, she will. If she is not able to, she will openly and clearly communicate that to the staff. Rhonda's positive attitude is contagious. From the time she arrives to the time she leaves, she never has a negative word to say about any one or any thing.
