Rhonda Walker a med/surg nurse who took care of a patient while in the hospital providing exceptional care, but that care didn't stop there, the patient was extremely concerned about his cat. Rhonda went to his home and cared for his cat so that he could focus on healing and getting better. Rhonda also took the gentleman's clothing home and washed and cleaned it for him so he had fresh clothes for when he was discharged. 3 Peers nominated Rhonda for her dedication, exceeding expectations, keeping promises to patients, caring holistically for a patient and on her own time.

Rhonda was also nominated by a family for caring for their mother during her last moments displaying confidence, compassion and skills that assured the family during this time the family stated it was her caring acts that made the loss of their mother a little bit better, her kind acts and compassion were noted as outstanding and will never be forgotten .
