We have truly been so fortunate to have had such wonderful Doctors, Nurses, and Support Staff treat and care for our son at Rady Children's. Over his almost 8 years, we are genuinely grateful to the NICU, his many Specialists, Therapists, Anesthesiologists, Respiratory, the CHET Team, Reception, EVS & everyone in between.
Throughout so much of this, there has been a Nurse who has consistently stood out during our son's care and she is Rhys David NP. I cannot name just one particular story but the overall experience we have had with Rhys. Her knowledge and bedside manner are above and beyond at every visit. With as busy as she is, whether through My Chart or at an appointment, she is always supportive and considerate of our concerns and questions and overall being and development.
One time, on her own volition, she had even accommodated us with a visit (that we would have otherwise missed in the GI Clinic) while our son was admitted to the hospital after a surgical procedure. She is always open and willing to discuss any questions, comments, and concerns we may have. She is truly a Nurse who "treats" the family as a whole. There will never be enough words to express how appreciative and grateful we are for all of the incredible care that our son has received and continues to receive at Rady Children's and our confidence is never wavering due to exceptional people like Rhys on our team.
