What a great surprise; I never expected to receive the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students. Such an honor, and I am grateful and humbled. I want to thank my classmates and professors, the person who nominated me, the staff of UP, and the DAISY Foundation, for recognizing and giving this award to me. I want to share this award with all nominees and all the nursing students in postgraduate and graduate school. My heart is overflowing with joy; I will cherish this award forever. Very unexpected. However, I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity, and I pray that as we serve the most vulnerable members of our community, we always choose to be kind and show compassion to everyone we meet. Nursing is more than a profession to me; it's a calling to deliver the best care possible for patients, apply evidence-based nursing practices and clinical skills, and provide compassionate care. Again, thank you so much for this great opportunity. What a great encouragement as I start my clinical preceptorship tomorrow. May God continue to bless us all and everything that we do.
