I have spent many days in hospitals, so I have kind of become an expert on hospital staff. I know right away when I am lucky enough to get one of the best! I checked into the observation floor with 150/88 B.P. A little high and I was scared; Rian my nurse was very calm about the whole thing. I took this as not caring, was I wrong. She took over my care with her smile-frown, if you know what I mean, it's a smile to keep you calm and a frown to show concern.
When I started to get chest pains, she was right there rubbing my hand asking important questions, making them seem like nothing's wrong and everything is ok. The pain lasted a long time and Rian was there for me. I was scared when she left the room for a short time and so glad when she returned. I thought this was the end, but she changed my mind. It is so hard to explain how much Rian will remain in my heart. Rian is my hero. I will never forget what we went through together. She is the Best of the Best!
