My 90-year-old nana wanted to understand what was wrong with her, and the procedure scheduled; a cardiac cath. Richard sat down in front of her and took as much time as needed to explain her condition patiently, slowly, and thoroughly - until Nana understood. His compassion and genuine interest in her and helping to ease her mind was really special. He went out of his way to ensure that she was comfortable, I was comfortable, and offered numerous times to get us things and update us on timelines and answer questions. I was just so impressed with Richard that I had to go out of my way to share this. People like him, who go above and beyond to make unpleasant situations more comfortable for people deserve to be recognized. Thank you, Richard!
