Richard Heckler, RN

Richard Heckler has been very helpful during the whole new chemo process for us. He answers all of my questions and tries to put the patient first by joking around, which is very nice. He never seems stressed. He stayed late one Friday to help us when chemo was running later than normal. He even arranged fluids with Poplar Hospital for me late on a Friday so that we didn't have to drive all the way to Sidney to get fluids. I just wanted him to know how much I appreciate this help.

Richard was a bright spot through my cancer journey. Each chemo cycle was harder on my body, but Richard was always able to brighten my day with stories and humor. He let me pick the music we listened to all day, dimmed the lights so I could sleep, and always had a warm blanket for me. I looked forward to spending my chemo days with him. I enjoyed seeing the joy on all the nurses' faces when I brought treats. Thank you, Richard, for making a hard situation easier.
