Richard is a wonderful leader- he never asks any staff member to do anything that he wouldn't do himself. He goes above and beyond to provide great care to our patients and serves as a role model for all of the RNs and NPs in our service. Richard consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate patients to expedite their potentially life-saving transplant process, despite occasional staffing crunches. In addition, he has been a true leader during the unknowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was disconcerting for everyone, let alone those who work with immunocompromised patients. But Richard was there through it all, advocating for both the safety of our patients and our staff. We are so lucky to have him!
