I cannot thank Kyle enough for being the nurse I needed physically and mentally during my stay at DCH Northport.
After nearly a year of excruciating pain, failed nerve blocks, and physical therapy that did not provide relief time and time again, my doctor decided it was time to operate. I knew the procedure was going to include a painful and lengthy recovery. Of course, this made me anxious of what was to come. When I woke up from surgery and began my time recovering at Northport Medical Center, one nurse continued to go above and beyond for me, stopping at nothing to provide me the best care. He even went out of his way to do thoughtful things for me that he certainly did not have to, like making sure my phone was charging at night, being empathetic towards my pain and concerns, and generally just lifting my spirits, much like a friend. That nurse was Kyle. While Kyle performed his nursing duties with the most care and accuracy, his kindness and willingness to help me with additional tasks when my family was not around to help was so second nature to him. I believe this speaks volumes about his character and ability to provide next-level care to his patients. I cannot thank Kyle enough for being the nurse I needed physically and mentally during my stay at DCH Northport. I think everyone can learn something from Kyle and it is that the little things matter. Tone of voice, small acts of thoughtfulness, positive attitude, and his willingness advocate for the patient are the small things that can often get overlooked in a fast pace environment like the hospital, but deserved to be praised to continue to set examples of quality care.
