May 2025 Honoree
Richard Kent, BSN, RN
Richard was my dad's nurse for 3 days in a row, and my dad adored him. My father was diagnosed with stage 5 colon cancer, and there were times my dad would get angry and upset about his diagnosis.
He took his anger out on Richard, which is totally unacceptable. Richard still acted the same, showing my dad respect and compassion. He explained to me how hard it is for a male figure, a father, a worthy man, to get this type of diagnosis and have these different types of emotions. He made one at ease by thoroughly explaining things.
I hope Richard gets this acknowledgment because he truly deserves it! We have been so grateful and blessed to be under your care!
