Richard Pagan, RN

Richard Pagan was driving home from work when he noticed a bad motor vehicle crash. Even after a long shift in the ICU, he stopped, got out of his car, and approached the scene, even prior to EMS arrival. Richard noticed that the patient did not have a pulse and began CPR. He then assisted EMS for a considerable amount of time until the patient was brought to my ED. Richard's act of Good Samaritanism was quintessential to the patient's resuscitation, as pulses were regained. He came into the LVH-Pocono ED, with mud covering his scrubs, but he offered no complaints. This experience alone proves his selflessness and compassion as a nurse.
