For the past two days, I have had the privilege of working alongside Richie Quinones. In the face of back to back to BACK admissions, Richie has maintained his composure, clinical excellence, and more impressively, his sense of humor. When the floodgates open for admissions, multiple med passes, unstable vitals, and all the other unit 100 craziness (often at the same time!) Richie is an anchor, an A-team nurse, who respects and is respected by peers, and is a go-to during pressure situations on the unit. I feel safer when he's on the unit and I feel that BMC is a better place because of him.
