Rick was caring for one of the COVID patients that has been in the ICU for almost 60 days. During this time, the patient has not been out of his room and actually had not gotten out of his bed. He was still very weak and not able to move much on his own. Rick coordinated with the team to get this patient out of bed to a cardiac chair, and even took him outside for about 30 minutes. Seeing the look of contentment and happiness on the patient's face to just feel the wind blow was so inspiring. Rick was able to humanize this patient and take care of the whole person.
