It's difficult going into the ER, especially when you're scared and not feeling well at all. The second challenge is finding a nurse and staff that cares and doesn't treat you like an inconvenience. Nurse Rick is exactly the kind of nurse this world needs. He answered all my questions and never once made me feel like I was an inconvenience or like I was dumb for being there. Between him and the doctor, this was probably the smoothest experience I have ever had at Northwestern. I felt comfortable and able to speak up about all the symptoms I was experiencing, and they kept me up to date throughout my visit. Nurse Rick was exceptional and the best example of the type of nurse this world needs.
