Ricky Evans, LPN

First, he shows immediately that he cares not just for me, but for everyone in the room & on the floor to help me-but others as well.

Ricky is a nurse on the 5th floor at Nash General Hospital. He took care of my father, who was admitted for eight days with interstitial lung disease. This was a very difficult time for my father and my family.

Ricky is the most professional, compassionate, and hard-working nurse I have had the pleasure of being around. He gave the utmost care to my father with a work ethic that was unreal. He made us feel like my dad was the only patient on his service.

From helping my dad get to the bathroom, adjusting faulty O2 leads, and communicating his care status, he did it all with a friendly smile that made us feel better.

Rarely am I compelled to send a note of thanks because most of us take healthcare for granted. I want to let everyone know how great a nurse and person Ricky is. The Rocky Mount community and we are lucky to have Ricky at Nash General.

My dad is too weak to write a follow-up letter but sincerely wishes to say thank you to Ricky. Ricky truly is the best!
