I would like to recognize Riley for going above and beyond during a recent high-acuity situation involving a 31-week pregnant patient who rapidly progressed into active labor while in the ED.

Riley responded immediately, managing both the patient's evolving clinical needs, the patient and husband's worsening emotional stress, and the complex coordination required to ensure safe care.

Despite Labor & Delivery already managing multiple difficult and high-intensity cases, Riley stepped in without hesitation. She not only supported the ED team at the bedside but also oversaw the patient's labor assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management. In addition, she worked seamlessly with Dr. L to ensure all necessary orders were placed and that the transport process was organized efficiently and safely.

Her presence in the ED provided essential reassurance and guidance to both the patient and the staff. Riley's clinical expertise, calm leadership, and willingness to step outside her already demanding workload made a significant impact on the quality and continuity of care delivered.
