Presby HBO is currently treating a toddler named M. M was supposed to attend his preschool Valentine's Day party but unfortunately could not due to his isolation and HBO treatment. The HBO nurses and clinicians Lesly, Riley, and Becky gathered together and decided to throw him a PUH ED/HBO Valentine's Day AND Birthday party. All of the nurses and staff contributed Valentine's Day cards, snacks, and even a box to place his cards. In addition, M received a giant stuffed bear and a car in which to be pushed around the department. Lesly, Riley, and Becky went above and beyond to make sure M could celebrate the holiday and his Birthday. He was showered with gifts, cake, goodies, and love from all of the ER and HBO staff. The HBO nurses have cared for M many times. Not only did this have a positive impact on the patient but also on his mother, knowing he was getting great care and being shown great compassion by our HBO nurses.
